Documents are encrypted on disk with AES-256 and served only through short-lived, authenticated links. Every connection from your browser to our servers is encrypted with TLS 1.2 or higher.

Deletion you control
Delete a file, a project or a whole workspace from the dashboard. Deletion cannot be undone and removes the item from your workspace at once. Security review, backup and log windows are stated in our privacy policy.
GDPR
Data Processing Agreement with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for EU and UK customers. Sub-processor list provided to customers under that agreement. Details in our privacy policy.
Australia
Parallang runs in Sydney, Australia, where documents and account data are stored. Some processing steps are handled by contracted providers, which may run them in other locations under contractual safeguards.
SOC 2 & ISO 27001 providers
Our cloud and database providers hold SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001. Parallang does not hold its own certification yet and says so.

What does Parallang do?

Which file formats can I upload?
PDF (digital or scanned), Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), SVG, and photos or scans in JPG or PNG.
What do I get back?
Scans, photos and scanned PDFs come back as an editable Word (.docx) file. Word, PowerPoint and SVG files come back in their own format with the layout kept. For a digital PDF you choose: an editable Word file, or a PDF in the original format.
Can I digitize a document without translating it?
Yes. Choose to digitize only, and Parallang turns a scan or a photo into an editable Word file in its original language.
Which languages does Parallang support?
More than 110. Every block is translated in relation to the ones around it, so headings, defined terms and phrasing stay consistent.
Can I keep working in my CAT tool?
